Bonkers for Books- Animals STEAM (Grades K-1) Taught by Beth Cook Come discover, create, and experiment as we explore STEAM through amazing animal books and projects! Each week we will read about a new animal and then have fun engaging in a STEAM activity. We will make art projects, engineer wild animal homes, conduct a bird beak challenge, investigate animal tracks, and more, all while learning about cool animals on our planet. You do not want to miss this fun filled club full of creativity and animal adventures! Crafty Creators (Grades 1-5) Taught by Kellie Rife If you like to express yourself through art, then this is the fun and creative club for you! You will get to explore a variety of exciting paper crafting projects, such as collaging with colorful magazine cutouts, designing unique bookmarks, creating beautiful tissue paper art, and much more! Each session is a chance to learn new techniques, unleash your imagination, and create one-of-a-kind pieces to take home. Whether you're a seasoned artist or just getting started, there's always something new to discover and create with us! Thales Run Club (Grades 2-5) Taught by Madeline Kunz Join Mrs. Kunz for a running club where we will allow students the opportunity to move in a way that helps them recognize their individual strengths, as well as build a sense of connection in a team setting. Each week will blend confidence-building activities, life-skill development, and running as a form of healthy movement. Students will be taught the basics of stretching, warmup up, cooling down, and staying hydrated. Games and activities will be woven into these weeks to make running an enjoyable experience! Ready, Set, Run! Young Publishers- Creative Writing Club (Grades 2-5) Taught by Alyssa Johnson Do you love to create stories, poems, and illustrations? Would you like to improve your linguistic prowess and get your creative juices flowing? Then this is the club for you. During our time together, students will develop written works and share them with club members. We will have fun writing different types of genres such as poetry, scripts, short stories, and more. At the end of the eight weeks, the club members will compile all of their pieces of writing and illustrations and publish their own written work. Don’t miss out on the chance to become a published author! Thales Thunderbirds Theater Club (Grades 2-5) Taught by Angela Perrin Does your child have a love for playing pretend and putting on performances? If so, then our "Theater Thunderbirds" club is just for them! Students will participate in acting exercises, memorizing/delivering lines with expression, and contributing to the production of Inside Out as a final performance. The play will take place after the last day of club for family and friends to enjoy! We can't wait to share in our love for the performing arts with you! Sports Palooza- Soccer and More! (Grades 2-5) Taught by Josh Haughton Are you interested in learning and developing skills in a variety of team sports? During this fun filled club, you will learn how to strategically work together and play some awesome games! We will play soccer, kick ball and some other team sports that will place emphasis on skills, rules and lead-up activities for each game. Good sportsmanship and team cooperation will be required and stressed. Come join the ultimate sports club that is always a huge hit!
