Little Bookworms- Summer Fun Grades K-1 Taught by Beth Cook Are you bonkers for good books? Then this is the club for you! Each week Mrs. Cook will share some of her favorite books, teach important literacy skills and connect it all to a craft or STEM activity. Students will read some exciting titles such as, You Can’t Kiss A Bubble, and create their own bubble snakes, The Shark Lady, and learn about the science behind these cool creatures, and much more! Come read and create with Mrs. Cook!
Animal Adventures in Art Grades 1-3 Taught by Madeline Kunz Calling all animal lovers! Each week, we will learn about a new animal, its habitat, and exciting facts before diving into a craft that showcases its uniqueness. We will explore various 2D and 3D art techniques as we explore through artistic animal adventures. This club is perfect for students who love animals, science, nature, and art!
Thales Thunderbirds Theater Club Grades 2-5 Taught by Angela Perrin Does your child have a love for playing pretend and putting on performances? If so, then our "Theater Thunderbirds" club is just for them! Students will participate in acting exercises, memorizing/delivering lines with expression, and contributing to the production of a final performance: The Wizard of Oz! The play will take place after the last day of club for family and friends to enjoy! We can't wait to share in our love for the performing arts with you!
STEM Palooza Grades 2-5 Taught by Abbey Bungay Do you like creative exploration, engineering, tinkering and inventing? Do you enjoy thinking "outside of the box"? Join us for this one of a kind club where we will have opportunities to discover and explore through STEM. Together we will create robotic hands, cotton ball launchers, complete an egg drop challenge, plan and create our own inventions and more! Come explore the world of STEM with us
Let’s Create- A Drawing Club Grades 3-5 Taught by Kellie Rife Calling all artists in grades 3-5! Do you want to grow your skills as an artist? Do you want to learn how to bring life and depth to your drawings? Then join Mrs. Rife to learn and practice drawing techniques! Drawing is the foundation for so many art forms and honing these techniques will make you a well rounded artist! We will be using various drawing utensils including pencil, pen, and charcoal. We will cover line drawing, tone/value, shading techniques, and still life drawing. At the end of the quarter, we will compile these techniques and mediums to create a beautiful grayscale drawing of your choice that will be displayed in a mat frame!
