Registration form is below Club descriptions. Bonkers for Books- Fall Fun! Grade K-1 Are you bonkers for good books? Then this is the club for you! Each week, Mrs Boswell will share some of her favorite Fall books, teach important literacy skills and connect it all to an art project or STEM activity. We will read some exciting titles such as Runaway Pumpkins, and melt our homemade pumpkins, The Leaf Thief, and create cool leaf art, and much more! This club will be a fun-filled way for your child to improve their reading confidence, vocabulary, creativity, and communication skills. Come see how much fun books can be!
Rainforest Explorers Grades 1-3 Take a walk on the wild side with the Rainforest Explorers club!! Learners will explore the globe to locate areas of rainforests, then we will dive into discovering the Amazon Rainforest. Each week we will focus on a new feature of the Amazon, such as weather & climate, the different layers of the rainforest, and the animals & plants found there. We will also begin to investigate the impacts of human activity in the rainforest. There will be weekly crafts and STEM projects to go with each lesson.
Crafty Creators- Creepy Crawlers Grades 1-4 Join us as we explore the exciting world of creepy crawlers and crafting! Each week, we will learn about a new bug through literacy connections and will do a craft to go along with each lesson. Together, we will learn about our creepy crawly friends such as bees, ladybugs, worms and fireflies. If you love expressing your creativity then this is the club for you!
Game Show Club Grades 3-5 Calling all 3-5 contestants! Have you ever watched popular game shows on TV and thought to yourself, "I could do that!" The time has come for you to bring your knowledge of Game Shows to Ms. Cummins classroom. Join the GameShow Club and work in teams to play popular games like Family Feud, Price Is Right, Jeopardy, Finish That Lyric and MORE! Then you will put your knowledge to the test and create your own game for others to play. Join the Game Show Club to see if you have what it takes to win!
