Each week, Mrs Acree will share some of her favorite Fall books, teach important literacy skills and connect it all to a STEAM activity. Together we will read some exciting titles such as Runaway Pumpkins, and melt our homemade pumpkins, The Leaf Thief, and create a sneaky squirrel, and much more! This club will be a fun-filled way for your child to improve their reading confidence, vocabulary, creativity, and communication skills. Come see how much fun books and STEAM can be!
Sports Palooza Junior Grades 1-2 Are you interested in learning and developing skills in a variety of team sports? During this fun filled club, you will learn how to strategically work together and play some awesome games! Emphasis will be placed on skills, rules and lead-up activities for each game. Good sportsmanship and team cooperation will be required and stressed. Come join the ultimate sports club that is always a huge hit! ** club will be limited to 25 spots **
Artistic Adventures Grades 1-5 Come along on an Artistic Adventure with Mrs. Clodfelter and Ms. Haw, and explore a variety of mediums in art. Participants will create projects by printmaking, weaving, drawing, painting, sculpting, and more! These projects will be a fun way for participants to expand their art skills and make projects they are proud of! We would love to have you join us for this artistic adventure that will allow you to explore your creativity!
STEM Explorers- A Girls Only Science Club Grades 2-5 Are you a curious and adventurous girl with a passion for discovery? Do you love exploring the mysteries of the universe, experimenting with cool science projects, and learning about the wonders of the natural world? If so, our Girl Science Club is the perfect place for you! Creative challenges, hands-on experiments, new friendships! The Lacy Lions News Grades 2-5 Help create the fall edition of the Lacy Lions newspaper! Students will love this engaging and creative club as they plan and publish a school newspaper. Club members will become reporters, editors, and writers. They will have options to try creative writing, poetry, interviews, sports pieces and more. In addition to the writing, students will add artistic elements to the paper such as advertisements, illustrations, and photographs. Come join us and explore the exciting world of journalism!
