Join us each week while we read fun winter books, perform frosty science experiments, create cool art projects, and enjoy some yummy treats! You’ll discover how animals stay warm, build snowflake shapes with math, and explore winter wonders through science and art. Get ready to read, create, and have a blast with your friends! Bundle up, put on your thinking caps, and let’s make winter the BEST season ever! Artful Adventures Grades 1-5 Get ready for an exciting winter filled with creativity and fun! In this vibrant club, we will embark on a journey to create original masterpieces and unleash our artistic potential.Throughout our sessions, we'll dive into various artistic techniques, including: Printmaking: Discover different methods to make unique prints, Fiber Dyeing (Tie-Dye): Transform plain fabrics into colorful designs, Weaving: Explore the art of weaving, and Painting: Experiment with colors and brush techniques to bring your visions to life. Do you love exploring the mysteries of the universe, experimenting with cool science projects, and learning about the wonders of the natural world? If so, our Girl Science Club is the perfect place for you! Creative challenges, hands-on experiments, new friendships! The Lacy Lions News Grades 2-5 Help create the winter edition of the Lacy Lions newspaper! Students will love this engaging and creative club as they plan and publish a school newspaper. Club members will become reporters, editors, and writers. They will have options to try creative writing, poetry, interviews, sports pieces and more. In addition to the writing, students will add artistic elements to the paper such as advertisements, illustrations, and photographs. We would love to have repeat students join us to create a brand new edition of the Lacy Lions newspaper!
Scrapbooking Club Grades 2-5 Do you love to create and express yourself? Then this is the club for you! During our time together, students will learn how to create memories through imagination, magazines, art, and so much more. Each week we will work on our scrapbooks with weekly themes. On the last day of the club, students will have the opportunity to present their scrapbooks to classmates! Scrapbooking is a GREAT way to make new friends, express yourself through art, and make keepsakes! Sports Palooza Grades 3-5 Are you interested in learning and developing skills in a variety of team sports? During this fun filled club, you will learn how to strategically work together and play some awesome games! Emphasis will be placed on skills, rules and lead-up activities for each game.
