Move It! Groove It! - Fun with STEAM Grades K-1 Come explore the world of STEAM as we move and groove! In this hands-on club we will move and groove by investigating all kinds of moving objects such as racing cars, balloons, flying animals, spaceships, and more. We will even discover movement through chemical reactions and explosions! Grab your lab coats for this one of a kind STEAMtastic adventure! ( all new activities-repeat students welcome!) Bonkers for Books- Fall Fun! Grades K-1 Are you bonkers for good books? Then this is the club for you! Each week, Ms. Abel will share some of her favorite Fall books, teach important literacy skills and connect it all to an art project or STEM activity. We will read some exciting titles such asRunaway Pumpkins, and melt our homemade pumpkins, The Leaf Thief, and create cool leaf art, and much more! This club will be a fun-filled way for your child to improve their reading confidence, vocabulary, creativity, and communication skills. Come see how much fun books can be!
Let’s Get Movin’ Grades 1-3 Let's get moving to celebrate healthy living and making good choices! We will learn all kinds of different ways to exercise and live a healthy and balanced lifestyle including yoga, and other activities all the while making our way through some healthy snacks. Let's move and say yes to healthy foods!
Amazing Artists- Exploring 3D and Fiber Art Grades 2-5 Calling all artists to come explore the world of 3D/Fiber art! In this cool, unique club, students will create pieces of 3D/fiber art such as string mache bowls, foil figurines, tissue paper confetti balls,and much more! You will be inspired by working on fun projects and walk away with some beautiful new 3D pieces of artwork. Don’t miss out on this amazing art experience!
STEMtastic Scientists Grades 2-5 We are heading on a STEMtastic mission where we will explore the world of science through hands-on experiences. We will investigate the science behind engineering, meteorology, and chemistry with cool experiments and projects. Game Show Club Grades 3-5 Calling all 3-5 contestants! Have you ever watched popular game shows on TV and thought to yourself, "I could do that!" The time has come for you to bring your knowledge of Game Shows to a JYJ classroom. Join the Game Show Club and work in teams to play popular games like Family Feud, Price Is Right, Jeopardy, Finish That Lyric and MORE!
