Junior Chef Club (Grades K-3) Taught by Kali Blaine Calling all junior chefs! Get ready to mix, stir, roll, and create in our interactive kids cooking club where the kitchen becomes a place for imagination, learning, and delicious fun! Each week will bring a NEW themed adventure! We will create Fall Goodies, Halloween Snacks, Veteran's Day Sweets, Thanksgiving Plates and more! Join us for this unique club where you will learn basic kitchen skills, explore new ingredients and recipes, gain confidence and creativity and bring home the recipe cards to share with your family and friends!
Moove It, Groove It- Hip Hop Club (Grades 2-5) Taught by Kaitlyn Bohn Get ready to move, groove, and have fun! Our 2nd–5th Grade Hip Hop Club will give students the opportunity to learn fun, age-appropriate hip hop dances while building confidence, creativity, coordination, and teamwork. Students will learn new moves, practice a routine, and enjoy an exciting, positive environment where everyone can express themselves through dance. No previous dance experience is required—just bring your energy and enthusiasm!
¡Vamos! Kickboxing & Spanish (Grades 2-5) Taught by Karen Diaz Ready to MOVE? This high-energy club combines beginner kickboxing, fitness, movement, music, and Spanish! Students will learn basic non-contact kickboxing moves, combinations and footwork while practicing Spanish through numbers, body parts, directions, movement words, and simple conversations.We will move to Hispanic music, take our practices outside when the weather allows, exercise our bodies AND our brains, and have a lot of fun along the way!No kickboxing experience? No Spanish experience? No hay problema! Just come ready to move, learn, practice, and have FUN. The Daily Sparkle- Newspaper Club (Grades 2-5) Taught by Mariyah Storrs Help create the first ever edition of North Ridge’s Daily Sparkle newspaper, where magic meets the news! Students will love this engaging and creative club as they plan and publish a school newspaper. Club members will become reporters, editors, and writers. They will have options to try creative writing, poetry, interviews, sports pieces and more. In addition to the writing, students will add artistic elements to the paper such as advertisements, illustrations, and photographs. We are beyond excited to start a school newspaper and would love to have any interested students! Chess Mate (Grades 3-5) Taught by Meghan Sollars Discover the exciting world of chess! This fun, engaging game builds sharp problem-solving, critical thinking, and memory skills while boosting confidence. Perfect for beginner and intermediate players, our chess club is the ultimate place to learn, strategize, and make friends. Join us and level up your mind!
The Mahj Squad- Mahjong Club (Grades 3-5) Taught by Meghan Jennings & Carrie O’Ferral Calling all curious minds for some tile-tapping fun! Whether you're brand new to Mahjong or already know your way around the tiles, the Mahjong Club is the place to be! Join us as we learn the rules and strategies of this exciting, ancient game all while strengthening your memory, logic, and reasoning skills. Come build friendships through fun and friendly competition. Beginners and seasoned players are all welcome—no experience needed. Let’s play, learn, and grow-one tile at a time!
