Bonkers for Books- Crafting Fun! Grades K-1 Taughty by Seanna Aguirre Are you bonkers for good books? If you love reading and expressing your creativity then this is the club for you! Each week Mrs. Aguirre will share a (Spring) book, teach literacy skills and connect it all to a craft. We will read titles such as I Am Spring and The World Made a Rainbow and create crafts that will include drawing, painting, cutting and using recycled items . Come read and create with us!
Master Chef, Jr.- Take 2 Grades 1-4 Taught by Deedra Wilkerson Are you a junior chef who loves cooking up creations? Then this is the club for you! Each week we will make an exciting new recipe (no oven or stovetop will be used) as we build our own cookbook. Club members will even get to “review” the recipes after we taste them of course. Literature, writing, math, and science skills will be put to the test as students read recipes, measure ingredients, and help with the cooking. Repeat Master Chef's are welcome to join us as we will be creating all new recipes! Come stir up some hands-on fun with us!
Scrapbooking Club Grades 2-5 Taught by Sanina Barber Do you love to create and express yourself? Then this is the club for you! During our time together, students will learn how to create memories through imagination, magazines, art, and so much more. Each week we will work on our scrap books with weekly themes. On the last day of the club, students will have the opportunity to present their scrapbooks to classmates! Scrapbooking is a GREAT way to make new friends, express yourself through art, and make things you can keep for a lifetime. We welcome all repeat scrapbookers to join us again to create a new book full of memories! * $12 extra supply fee (all students will bring home a hardcover scrapbook).
Cardinal Chorale Grades 3-5 Taught by Sarah Moore Do you love to sing? This is the club for you! During our time together, students will learn proper singing techniques, develop part-singing skills, and improve general musicianship, all while singing fun music with friends! Each week we will learn fun vocal warm-ups and songs, ranging from standard choral music to pop choral music. On the last day of the club, students will have the opportunity to perform LIVE in front of friends and family! Chorus is a GREAT way to make new friends, develop a sense of belonging, and enjoy the music making process. This club is geared towards all students who joined previously, as well as any new singers that want to jump on board and sing with us!
